FINAL EXAMINATION FORMAT 2011
ANATOMY : 250 marks
Practical : § Marks : 50 m
§ Format:
· identify 25 spots which including bones, muscles and x-rays
· each spot will contribute 2 marks
· durations for each spot will be around 1 minute
Oral :§ Marks : 25 m
§ Format : 3 to 4 questions for 10 minutes ( individually )
Written :§ Marks : 125 m
§ Format :
· 7 to 10 questions (with subquestions ; a,b,c )
· Each question contributes 10 to 25 marks
· One question for one topic ; general anatomy , thorax , abdomen , pelvis ,
upper limb , general embryology.
· In the last 40 minutes, 25 MCQ question will be given
· Duration – 3 hours
* marks from midyear exam will be distributed to practical ( 12.5 m ) and written exam (37.5 m). No extra questions included for these marks .
PHYSIOLOGY : 250 marks
Practical :§ Marks : 25 m
§ Format :
· MCQ – 40 questions (from practical book)
. Conduct experiment and examine will ask orally about the experiment
(procedure, factor etc ) Oral :§ Marks : 50 m
§ Format :
Written :§ Marks : 125 m
§ Format :
· 7 to 10 questions accompany by subquestions a,b,c .
· Each question contribute 20 to 25 marks .
· Durations – 3 hours
* Marks from the midyear exam will be distributed to practical (5% ) and written exam (5%) .
BIOCHEMISTRY : 150 marks
Practical : § Marks : 20 m
§ Format :
· Conduct experiment to identify 2 solution that will be given
· Make the reports for the both experiments (table form-refer practical book)
· Alert and answer the questions that will be written in the white board
(structures questions )· Durations – 1 hour
Oral :§ Marks : 25 m
§ Format : 3 to 4 questions will be ask .

Written :§ Marks : 75 m
§ Format :
· 4 to 6 essay questions
· Questions 1 & 2 – general (combines chapter )
· Questions 3 to 6 – specific questions
· 6 to 10 of MCQ will be given in the last one hour
· durations 3 hours .
* Do not forget to bring lab coat and biochemistry practical book during practical exam .
HISTOLOGY : 150 m
Practical : § Marks : 35 m
§ Format :
· 22 questions including 7 E/M pictures, 13 L/M slides and 2 drawing
diagrams (from diagram textbook )· E/M pictures – there will be several answers from the diagram . Write at
least 2 of them .· Duration for each slide is around 1 minute .
· For drawing questions , colour the diagram. eg ; nucleus in blue colour ,
cytoplasm in red colour . the diagram will be ask from diagram textbook . Oral : § Marks : 20 m
§ Format : 3 to 4 questions for each student
Written :§ Marks : 75 m
§ Format :
· 8 to 9 questions accompany by subquetions .
· Each question contribute 10 to 15 marks .
· There will be drawing questions .
· In the last 30 minutes , 15 MCQ and 15 true or false questions will be given
· Durations – 3 hours
